The AniNIX does want to be accessible to end-users, and social media is a global phenomenon that most people are aware of. However, we feel a general distrust for global social media -- self-hosting is optimal for retaining privacy and unifying credentials across services in a way that the AniNIX can protect its end-users.
Currently, our approach to social media is to identify platforms where we may have an interest in promoting the network, and to establish accounts in those areas with a single post linking back to the AniNIX equivalent.
